Description

For patients who meet the access criteria, rather than admit to a secondary care hospital (step up) or to facilitate a discharge from an acute hospital bed (step down), the Responsive Integrated Assessment Care Team (RIACT) will offer a short stay community intermediate care bed (in a single room) within the providers premises.

Total Quantity or Scope

Intermediate Care Beds - Darlington The relevant authority intends to award a contract to an existing provider under Direct Award C under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) regulations 2023. The final contract value is still to be finalised as it is dependent on the national NHS planning guidance which is still to be released. As an indication the 2024/25 contract value is £821,851. Contract Start Date: 01 April 2025 Contract End Date: 31 March 2027
