This is a Voluntary Ex-Ante Transparency Notice (VEAT) to inform the market of the Authority's intention to award a contract for an additional period of 3 years (no extensions), to the incumbent provider (Age UK Mid Mersey), for the Provision of a Wellbeing and Engagement Service that supports older people (50+) across the borough, in an holistic way, to 'Live Well' across the thematic areas of: • Health and Wellbeing • Social Inclusion • Personal Independence • Staying Connected This extension aims to maintain continuity and stability of service provision. The annual contract value is £118,724.00 and the total contract value for the period of 3 years £356,172.
Total Quantity or Scope
This is not a new contract opportunity, but rather a VEAT Notice to inform the market that the contracting authority seeks to extend its existing contract service which has been in place for many years and provides a reputable point of contact for older people across the borough. This would be a direct award for the next three years.

Legal Justification
Age UK Mid Mersey have a long-standing relationship with Halton Borough Council and have provided the Wellbeing and Engagement service over a number of years. The service is well-respected and recognised across the borough. The service has established working partnerships with other services, agencies and organisations across the borough to be able to offer a holistic approach to older people's needs. The service is considerate of and responsive to emerging agendas affecting older people's needs and works closely with experts by experience to shape the service.

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** In accordance with best practice, the Authority will apply a voluntary 10 day standstill period, from Friday 31st January 2025 to midnight on Monday 10th February 2025, before the contract is concluded with the identified provider.
