** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** Voluntary Transparency Notice In-service support of Type 45 Class Integrated Navigation and Bridge Systems (INBS) The Sense, Decide Communicate Project Team within Defence Equipment & Support, part of the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to place a new in-service support contract with ANSCHUETZ UK LTD (company number 14277721) for the in-service support of the Type 45 Class Integrated Navigation and Bridge System (the “INBS”), into which a range of equipment and systems, including navigation radars, other sensors and navigational aids, emergency navigation and maritime distress systems, display consoles, workstations and indicators, and data distribution on Type 45 Class platforms have been integrated. The proposed contract will have an estimated value of up to Twenty-Two Million Pounds Sterling (ex VAT) (£22 million) and will be for a term of three (3) years with two one (1) year options . In accordance with Regulation 4 of the Defence and Security Contracts (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (SI 2019/697) this procurement falls to be regulated under the provisions of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 as amended (in particular by SI 2019/697 and SI 2020/1450). Prior publication of a contract notice in the official Journal of the European Union is no longer appropriate. It is considered that the award of the contract without prior publication of a contract notice in the UK e-notification service (as required by the relevant legislation) is lawful in accordance with Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011, as amended, for technical reasons.
