Description
Southern Regional College (SRC), as the Buyer, is one of six Further and Higher Education Colleges in Northern Ireland and was formed as a result of the merger of the former Colleges of Armagh College, Newry Institute and Upper Bann Institute on 1st August 2007. SRC services the geographical area of Armagh, Banbridge, Lurgan, Newry and Portadown. The Buyer wishes to appoint a number of Suppliers who can provide industry training qualifications to students and the wider community within the Southern catchment area. This includes Heavy Plant Driver Training (360 Excavator, forward Tipping Dumper, Ride on Roller), Cat C, C+E, D Driver Training, Forklift, Scissor Lift Driver Training, Door Security Training, CCTV Operation Training, STCW95 Sea Safety Training, GWO Wind Turbine Training, Taxi Operator Licence, Car Trailer Towing licence and NRSWA Street Works for Operatives and Supervisors.

SRC has appointed the successful Suppliers ranked 1. and 2 in respect of Lots 2 and 3. The highest ranked supplier is the. Most. Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT) and will be awarded. the contract. The Supplier. ranked 2 is required for capacity and.. contingency reasons, as mentioned within the Specification, with no. guarantee of work. For Lots 1, 4, 7, 9 and 10, one Supplier has been. appointed. For all Lots, the. successful contractor’s performance. on. the contract will be regularly monitored in line with the tender. documentation. Contractors. not. delivering on contract requirements. is. a serious matter. It means the public purse is not getting what. it is paying for. If a contractor. fails. to reach satisfactory. levels of contract. performance they will be given a specified time. to improve. If, after the specified time, they still.. fail to reach. satisfactory levels of contract. performance, the matter will be. escalated to senior management in CPD for further action..
