Description

NHS Birmingham & Solihull Integrated Care Board (ICB) are awarding NHS Standard Contract for Provision of Westbourne Secondary Oral Surgery Dental Care.

Total Quantity or Scope

The contract is to deliver Secondary Dental Care across the West Midlands Region. The incumbent provider has been delivering Secondary Dental Care Services to the registered patient list. NHS Birmingham & Solihull ICB intends to award a contract to the existing provider, Ramsay Health Care UK Ltd t/a the Westbourne Centre via Direct Award Process C as described in regulation 9 of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Key criteria were specified, and assessment against each criterion was undertaken based on the current service delivery model and performance. The supplier meets all the requirements specified to the satisfaction of the Commissioner, and it is expected that they will satisfy the requirements of the new contract going forwards. The contract start date is 1st December 2024 and will run until 31st March 2026. The total lifetime value of the contract is £3,827,954.

The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 2nd December 2024 to the following email address: naomi.hitchins1@nhs.net This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR. The decision makers for this process were West Midlands Joint Commissioning Group & Joint Committee. There were no conflicts of interests declared in reaching the decision to award. The weightings for the 5 key criteria were determined to give appropriate relative importance to each of the sections equally in line with the commissioning expectations for the service.
