Description

Essex County Council is retendering its current contract for the secure storage and disposal of data bearing items owned by Essex County Council.

Total Quantity or Scope

Essex County Council are seeking a supplier to provide secure NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) and ADISA (Asset Disposal Information Security Alliance) approved/aligned redundant IT data destruction, resale and recycling services for all types of end of life IT equipment. It will also include the provision of secure storage for new or to be reused IT equipment. The contract is to commence from December 2024 for an initial period of 4 years. This contract will have the ability to be extended for a further 24 months making potential expiry November 2030.

Renewal Options

This contract is to be awarded for an initial four (4) year term with the ability to extend for a further 24 months, awarded in 12 month increments.

The estimated value at II.1.5 is not guaranteed. As set out in the tender documentation, no level of expenditure is guaranteed and it is anticipated that the residual value of resold items will cover the charges generated, making this contract cost neutral. ECC reserves the right to cancel the procurement exercise and/or not to award all or part of a contract. ECC will not be responsible for any costs incurred by potential suppliers (or any other person participating in the process)in relation to this procurement exercise including if the procurement exercise is cancelled. Each bidder shall be responsible for its own costs and expenses incurred in participating in this process.
