Typically, works will involve the management of multiple trades and/or sub-contractors at operational sites, where close communication with the site users and the project team is essential. Type of work procured under this category is likely to include:• Building extensions to existing buildings• Renovations and refurbishments of existing buildings• New buildings• Groundworks projects• Preparatory works in support of placement of new portable buildings• New plant rooms• Demolitions• Re-roofing projects• Modifications to building fabric• Works within historic and listed buildings• Mechanical & electrical projects where a large element of associated building works is included

Work ordered under this category will be for minor installation projects with the majority of work being new or replacement mechanical services, including general plumbing and sanitary ware installations, hot and cold-water services, heating and ventilation systems, air conditioning and plant replacements.Typically, works will involve the management of multiple trades and/or sub-contractors at operational sites, where close communication with the site users and the project team is essential.
